What is #MurciaTIP?
A participation platform, i.e. a private organisation whose aim is to bring together the common interests of many people so they can carry out projects in an organised and professional way. We stand up to individualism with groups of people organised in communities that exchange knowledge with each other. We all have personal projects, but these are infinitely enhanced when we join people who share the same goals and we are offered structure and methodological training. Since not everyone has to think the same way, each community can have smaller groups to achieve their objectives.
The only mandatory requirement is that the most basic principles of courtesy and good practice prevail; transparency must prevail in the activities carried out, as well as an innovation component that makes the difference and justifies the effort made.
Who runs the organisation?
We are a group of professionals from the Region of Murcia with part-time commitment to the entity, as we all have our work and life sorted out; this is a social complement to our profession. Both the management team and middle management are expanding, so anyone with the will and time is welcome to the governing and management bodies.
When did it all start?
Shortly before the 2019 global pandemic we were already in a transition process of the participation model in Spain, from structured groups to, in some cases, pure anonymity on social networks. The digital revolution has intensified dramatically after the pandemic and we need to find the balance between the traditional participation model and digital transformation.
Where are we and where do we operate?
Our scope is mainly regional, regardless of actions carried out in national and international spheres in a globalised world. We apply the concept of «glocalisation» to eliminate distances and be able to contribute or receive knowledge from anywhere in the world. We work with the ambassador concept for people outside Murcia as a gracious way of being inclusive with any citizen of the world. The TwinTowns project identifies and deepens, for example, all the twinning arrangements of our region with the planet.
Why do we do it?
Altruism and selfishness are deeply compatible when properly understood. The strength of people lies not only in doing great things, but in being able to protect and integrate everyone who does not have the luck or strength to improve this world. Volunteering fulfils the dual function of helping society on the one hand, but also training and empowering the volunteer on the other. Many people are not lucky enough to work in what they like, or even when working in what they like they feel more fulfilled if they can advance or go deeper in their own field. If we add to this principle the interconnection of knowledge between different sectors, we offer the possibility that someone passionate about communication can be boosted by financial culture that helps them.
How do we do it?
We value time and willingness more than money, as the relationship between these concepts is clear. With enough time, anything can be achieved. Often it is not possible to start a hobby, project or dream simply because of the little time left by work and family obligations. We combine many small intervals of time to advance any goal 100% free and with no obligation to contribute a single cent.
Based on all the above, we achieve:
- Creation of new associative fabric, as many projects can be born with us but then follow their own path.
- Promotion of the business fabric as more qualified people can launch projects that generate their own and others' employability.
- Viability of projects that could not be carried out by a single person, based on collaboration and pooling of efforts.
- Non-formal training for all those who want to specialise practically in any subject, starting from absolute ignorance.
